Surfboards come in many different shapes and sizes for different conditions and wave types. However, the basics parts of a surfboard remain the same from board to board.

  • Deck: The top of the surfboard; where you stand
  • Rocker: The curve of the board from nose to tail
  • Fins: Under the tail; improve stability and control
  • Tail: The back of the board
  • Nose: The front of the board
  • Rails: The outer edges of the board
